US continues to pile scorn on Germany. (Giants vs Panthers, both 2-7). How do we know these are the actual teams though? It could just be a bunch of selected locals padded up while the real players rest up back in the states. Would it make a difference? Really? ---

I haven’t seen much of Caleb Williams since Week 2, but he is not impressive at all today. Insert standard “the Oline sucks, the coaches suck, and the pass catchers suck” caveat that the Bears’ fans use for every first round QB. ---

Ugly scene for the 49ers; Deebo just took a swing at the kicker on the sideline. Poor guy has missed three makeable kicks today, but that was completely uncalled for. ---

After the draft, Caleb Williams called the Bears’ new punter, Tory Taylor, to tell him he wouldn’t be punting much this year. As of last week, Tory Taylor has 1818 punting yards, and Caleb Williams has 1665 passing yards. To be fair, the Bears aren’t the only team where that’s the case, nor the most egregious (Corey Bojorquez of the Browns has 2600 yards to 1651 passing yards for their three passers combined), but it’s hilarious given the preseason hype. ---

To be clear, Deebo was jawing at Moody. Long snapper Taybor Pepper stepped in to jaw back, and _that’s_ who Deebo shoved in the neck. (Oddly, Moody used Pepper’s facemask to hold him back from jawing at Samuel more.) I’m not OK with Deebo losing his cool and hitting a teammate. I don’t recall seeing anything like that before from him. The interviews of the three of them after the game do indicate they will be able to address it and move forward. I wonder if he’ll get any public discipline. ---
