Geno Smith was pretty emotional in that interview and he just thanked God a couple of times. I don’t know - do the Jets really want a religious quarterback? Seriously, I think I agree with McShay: this is not a great situation to come into as a young quarterback. If he’s going to be the starter early in the season it’s not a good thing. ---

OK, This I like. Medical concerns aside, We need depth at pass-rusher. He’s 49ers beat writer Matt Barrows’s “draft crush” and I think he’s a valuable pickup. I just hope he stays healthy. I hope for Travis Kelce, Da’Rick Rogers or Tyrann Mathieu at #61. ---

The Bills take USC wideout Robert Woods, and the pick gets a pretty good review on ESPN at least. And that’s one of many positions of need. ---

Panthers went with more beef. Don’t know much about Short, but I’m okay with trying to bolster the D line. Tidbits form his profile… _Needs more repetitions to grasp concept than your average player. Not a self-motivator… Inconsistent motor is biggest concern with him as a potential first round pick. Tendency to turn it on and off is frightening._ ---
