It’s crazy that the NFL still downgrades players for smoking pot. Tyrann Mathieu goes in the third round at #69. He’s a crazy talent. I am a little concerned about his size, but could care less that he’s a pothead. ---

Matt Barkley and Keenan Allen would be great picks here. I think the Jags, the Cards, the Browns, and the Cards may regret letting him pass them by in the 3rd round. ---

It’s LSU/SEC hype and some overflow from the Patrick Peterson hype last year. Take away the Honey Badger gimmick and he’s just a guy. ---

The fact he’s small, slight, and slow; misses meetings and doesn’t follow team rules, and has only 4 interceptions in his career, however, are a much bigger deal. ---

Are you watching a different draft? The 49ers took Tank Carradine from Florida State. Not fucknut from LSU. And Tank was a great pick - kid has LOADS of talent and is willing to learn. The knee is a concern, but let’s face it, many guys in the draft have at least one serious injury in their past. As far as FSU players drafted this year, the only one I’m worried about is EJ\* (the highest pick). The others have all gone to teams that either can use their talent immediately or will develop it properly. It’s a proud weekend to be a 'Nole! - In the developmental sense only, EJ is a fantastic human being and I love it for him. It almost literally couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. ---

Just went through all the teams picks. So far the only teams that have had good-to-great drafts in my eyes are the Bengals, Vikings and Raiders. It’s bizarro world. ---

I would love to see the Packers grab Barkley here. While there are other needs, I think he’s one of the BPA and the Packers’ backup QB position is anything but settled. He’d be great value and trade bait in a couple years. ---

So Steelers go OLB, RB, WR. Some thought Wheaton could be a 2nd round, almost everyone thought Bell was a 3rd rounder, so I’m going to say that it cancels out. I will be cautiously optimistic of this draft class if Shamarko or Phillip Thomas drop to 4th. BTW, what are the thoughts on Wheaton? I’ve liked his upside, but hate is stone hands, plus he’s more of a slot receiver, whom we have three of. And everyone compares him to Antonio Brown. ---
