OCP would put up a rainbow flag for Pride Month if they thought it would cause you to buy more of… whatever the hell it is they sell; weapons, I think.

And since we’re deep in the silly season before training camps open, Little Caesars will now be the NFL pizza sponsor.

Do they even deliver? Don’t know them that well, but they definitely didn’t deliver at college. It was cheap and you walked over to pick it up. Not exactly what I’d expect from the NFL, but at least there won’t be Papa John’s ads to take away from the non stop gambling ads.

There still will be. Pizza Hut was the previous NFL sponsor, not Papa John’s (which hasn’t been the sponsor for the NFL in 4-5 years). The article even leads with a Pizza Hut reference.

Papa John’s still has deals with ~20 of the teams to be the sponsor of record specifically for those teams, and this agreement doesn’t change that, nor the almost certainty they will advertise in those markets during the season.

He has expressed a strong preference for Patrick to differentiate from his dad, Pat.

There was a minor kerfuffle his first(? maybe second) year starting where an ESPN game announcer consistently called him Pat, and Patrick’s mom hopped on Twitter to correct him during the game. I’ve noticed that all of the TV announcers have been calling him Patrick since then.

They actually re-launched delivery at most of their restaurants in early 2020, after not doing so for about 20 years.

The last time I got Little Caesar’s delivered, it was through Door Dash. (I placed a delivery order through the restaurant itself, and Door Dash was who actually dropped it off. That might not be the case everywhere.)

I almost always do carry-out though. I have their app, and I place an order for pickup. The store is about a 5 minute drive away. I get a text when my order is ready, which includes a code.

When I get to the store they have this big warmer thing with multiple levels and doors on it (it has glass doors so you can see what is in each level). I type my code and the door opens with my food in it. I grab the food and leave. I never have to interact with anyone there unless there is something wrong (they will sometimes forget something if I have a big order, but not normally).

Little Caesar’s isn’t great. It’s incredibly cheap, you can get a cooked and ready-to-eat pizza for the cost of a frozen pizza. But it’s just okay. You pretty much get what you pay for. I consider it the perfect food for a kids’ birthday party; the kids will love the bland flavor and you can feed a small horde for a small amount.

The one exception to me is their pretzel pizza. It looks like it should be disgusting but it’s amazing. The crust is a salted soft pretzel and the sauce is a cheese sauce, the kind you might dip a pretzel into. Then it has the usual pizza cheese and pepperoni. It seems wrong but it’s awesome. They only have it for a limited time now and then, though.

I really miss the old commercials Little Caesar’s used to have a long time ago, maybe the 90s. They were the best. I’d love it if they brought them for their sponsorship deal with the NFL.

I don’t even need to read the article to know that it’s about money, but a new stadium for the Browns seems absurd.

There is no way Cleveland ever gets a Super Bowl so it would be pointless to even use that argument.

The owners would absolutely promise Cleveland a Super Bowl to help extort a new stadium for a member of the cartel. It’s not like it wouldn’t sell out, even there.

</div>

They had Super Bowls in the new Meadowlands (the weather largely cooperated fortunately) and in Indy and in Minnesota. LA was a no brainer.

If Cleveland builds a new domed stadium on public money, they’ll get a Super Bowl for sure. Slightly less assured if it’s an outdoor stadium in the north but even then there’s a good chance.

It’s just the way the business of the NFL works - build a new stadium, get a Super Bowl.

Even with a dome, I would still be shocked if Cleveland gets a Super Bowl, the city is fine enough but February weather in a dying Midwest city ain’t gonna hack it for the big $$$$ that go to super bowl festivities.

I am prepared to eat those words as it looks like we will actually have a World Cup in Qatar, so anything is possible with $$$$$$$$$

As opposed to February weather in Minneapolis or Indianapolis? Big money speaks, i.e. big stadium money.

With NFL stadiums, if you build it, the Super Bowl will come.

Returned to the NFL in 1999… Based on performance, the team owes has extorted the city and fans several $billion.

Over the last quarter century, that’s averaging roughly a QB each season and either a HC or GM each season. That’s one form of consistency.

They’ll set a personnel record if nothing else.

They may start training camp without a QB. Watson suspended and Mayfield left out in the parking lot. Maybe bring back Manziel.

I am a looooooonnnng suffering Browns fan though I realized many years ago that my expert coaching, game planning, and play calling via YELLING at the TV was not effective enough. sigh
