After two weeks I am 17-15, which is pretty bad, though I can console myself with the fact that it’s at least above .500. You know its gonna be bad when SF beats STL and Miami beats Denver. Week 2 was better though - I picked Carolina and TB to win which felt good. I hope Denver does well this year coz I ain’t gona pick them to lose. Doesn’t look good after two weeks for them. And what business did Dallas have losing to the Redskins at home on Monday night anyway? I hope next week brings better news. So how do your picks look? ---

I’m in a simple win/lose pool just for kicks. I don’t even follow sports, much less football in great detail. The first week I used ESPN’s pre-season power ranking to choose the winners - ended up 6-10. This past week I used the Vegas line and went 11-5. Much better. ---

A bunch of us here at work are playing pick 'em on Yahoo! and I’m in second place (out of 8 people) with a straight .500. Kinda sad, but the first two or three weeks of a season are generally the hardest to figure out. Or so I keep telling myself… ---

I’m a 2-under .500 15-17 so far. God-awful Week 1, going 6-10. Better Week 2 at 9-7. Week 3 is when I begin by season-long streak of perfect picking across the board. What? What’s with all the " :dubious:" looks from everyone?? ---

Haven’t done it this year, but last year a few of us at work did a straight pick-em pool. I was astonishingly bad, consistently picking only 4-6 correct each week. We even started flipping a coin and keeping track of it’s picks. The coin beat me more often than not. A couple of weeks I took the opposite of what I thought and I still did horrible. I contend that’s just as amazing as someone who consistently gets 12 correct every week, since the probability is the same. ---
