Fewell interim coached the Bills to a 3-4 finish. Marinelli coached the Lions to a historically bad 10-38 record. I don’t think they’re in _quite_ the same category (although I love what Marinelli did as the Bucs’ defensive line coach). ---

Clearly that makes him hotter than a tested HC with a NFC Championship and potentially 3 divisional titles. :dubious: ---

Lovie’s not winning a division title this year unless Aaron Rodgers is hit by a car or the league moves the team to the NFC West. Anyway, you left out a critical point: a _fired_ tested HC with an NFC Championship and 2/3 division titles. ---

The Bills should have kept Fewell last year. It’s going to a weird year for coaching changes, so who knows if he will get an offer this year. ---

If he finishes 10-6 or 11-5 and has a 1st round playoff exit he’ll be a legitimately hot HC candidate who will not be fired, the Bears will be negotiating with him along with everyone else. Hence my bidding war comment. ---

Now I have to hope the 49ers lose their remaining games, both to ensure Singletary is fired and to get a decent QB in the draft. Fucking sucks. ---

Or maybe his brief, unsuccessful stint as HC with San Diego (6-16) means he’s not a candidate for promotion. ---

He told me he’ll be rooting for the Packers. Then we continued our now-weeks-long discussion regarding who the next coach should be. He wants Harbaugh, I’d prefer Gruden. Surprised you’ve given up on Troy Smith already, **gary**. He’s only had one bad game. He won a Super Bowl in Tampa with the team Dungy and McKay built, and the team got progressively worse as he assumed more and more control over personnel. He’s got a priceless offense mind, and a worthless talent-evaluating one. ---

This must be the all-time least interesting MNF game ever. I think that Jags-Titans game from earlier in the year had more going for it and more discussion around here. ---

I totally forgot it was on. I heard Mike and Mike talking about Philip Rivers this morning and was like, “oh, yeah”. Kind of funny considering I had a 17 point lead to protect from Knowshon Moreno in my fantasy money league. ---
