That was it? Johnson must have some pretty thin skin for that to get under it. That is the thing you beat with your on the field. There must have been a lot more jawing that this became the straw that broke Andre Johnson’s back. ---

Not only has there been a history of bad blood between these two over the years, the play before almost came to blows as well. Finnegan’s “Watch this” simply shows he’d plans to elevate it to an even higher level still. Then he went for Johnson’s head. ---

It’s almost frustrating to watch the Chargers play a game like that. Just about every game could be that way, if they could just get out of their own way (especially with their schedule this year). 1-2 against the AFC West 1-2 against the NFC West 4-0 against the AFC South Weird. ---

Well, whatever he thinks of himself, the dude has been dropping punts within the 10 yard line like clockwork. I don’t know how he does it but the balls just hit the ground and stay dead. It’s great to watch. It’s too bad Cribbs is sucking this year or our special teams would kill everyone in DVOA like they did last year. ---

Well, I must say that my beloved Falcons beat a really good team yesterday. Kudos to the Packers. I think “Matty Ice” is the real thing. I haven’t ever felt this good about the Falcons. Ever. Not in the forty plus years since I first started watching them. They are solid. Not glitzy. No weird off-field craziness. Good coaching, good management, good ownership. I don’t think anyone here in the ATL area thought we’d be 9 and 2 at this point. Seriously. We caught some breaks along the way, but I think we are due for some breaks, dangit! Anyway, it is a good day to be a Falcons fan. Come on Tampa Bay … Bring it! 🙂 ---

Oh, it’s already been broughten. We were two feet from beating you in the Georgia Dome last time, remember. The Falcons _are_ an excellent team, though I’m not quite as sold on Matty Ice. He doesn’t make mistakes, but he doesn’t make any big plays, either. Kind of reminds me of David Garrard without the mobility.
