And they actually do have very good hot dogs. They’re more know for their late night show and prickly staff, but they put out a good product.

Frank Ragnow, who had been a Pro Bowl center for the Lions before retiring this past off-season due to a string of injuries, had announced this past Wednesday that he was going to rejoin the Lions for the rest of this season.

However, during a routine meeting with the Lions’ medical team yesterday, prior to being activated, they discovered that a hamstring injury he had been dealing with is a “grade 3 strain” – as a result, he failed his physical, and won’t be playing for Detroit this season.

The (small) YouTube channel Gridiron Grit has an interesting review of how the Chicago Bears seems to somehow manage to keep winning despite every reason to think they shouldn’t. Due to injuries they had to go deep on their bench and, somehow, these guys are pulling off the seeming impossible. Great to see!

He went 19/30 for 126 yards, 0 TDs, 4 interceptions.

So, there you go.

I’m not sure if Bryce Young is actually getting better, or if he’s always going to be one of those inconsistent QBs with up weeks and down weeks. The Panthers cooled off the Rams today and played a pretty solid game to stay in the division hunt.

**Somebody** has to win the AFC North. It might even be a team with a losing record.

> The AFC North typically has at least three teams competing for playoff spots by this point in the season, but a tough year has the division on pace to send just one team to the NFL postseason.

Heck, maybe it could be the first team ever to win a division with 10 losses. 😃

Well, in the AFC North they have the same record as the first-place Ravens, so it’s not actually far-fetched they could qualify by displacing the Ravens. But they are at best looking like a team that might stagger into the postseason, soon to meet a well-deserved fate there.

Their main hope is that the Ravens are looking about the same.

Ravens (6-6) schedule: Steelers, Bengals, Patriots, Packers, Steelers
Steelers (6-6) schedule: Ravens, Dolphins, Lions, Browns, Ravens
Bengals (4-8) schedule: Bills, Ravens, Dolphins, Cardinals, Browns

I’m guessing 9-8 wins the division. But I have no idea which team will win.

The Seahawks won the NFC West once with a 7-and-9 record, and hosted a playoff game. They weren’t quite the pushover people thought they’d be.

> The Beast Quake was a National Football League (NFL) touchdown scored by Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch against the New Orleans Saints during a 2010–11 NFC Wild Card playoff game. Occurring in the fourth quarter while Seattle was up by four points, Lynch rushed for 67 yards and broke nine tackles to score a touchdown, which secured the Seahawks' eventual 41–36 victory. The play's name comes from Lynch's nickname "Beast Mode" and the subsequent celebration of Seahawks fans register...
