I’ll let someone else post the schedule and lines. I just have a thought to share: has anyone else ever noticed that the Patriots’ roster is really, really _white_? Their starting offense on Sunday night included one black player: Stevan Ridley. They also had five white players starting on defense. They’ve started two different white wide receivers this season (Edelman, Amendola), and of course they had Welker for years. I’m pretty sure no other team in the league has two _on their roster_ (I’m having a hard time thinking of a team other than the Broncos and Cowboys who even have one.) I am not suggesting that Belichick or the personnel department is racist. It’s just unusual. ---

There has to be some quip in there about “wide whites”, but I sure cannot come up with it (and you kids would not have a clue what I was on about anyway). ---

Well, whether or not the Pats are whiter than usual, they’re not as dominant as they were in the past. They did do a number on the Broncos though. ---

Just from a trivial standpoint, the Titans sorta-kinda had 3 white WRs last week. However: 1. Marc Mariani is more of a KR than WR and has been on IR all this year (and last). 2. Kevin Walter has yet to play for Tennessee and has been on the PUP list all season. 3. Devin Wylie is even more of a KR than WR (unlike Mariani, I don’t think he has played a snap for the Titans at WR) and was waived earlier this week. ---

Tough conditions affect both teams, so I look at it as pretty much a wash. Am I in the minority on that? I think altitude can make a bigger difference since it takes a while to acclimate. ---

So the Ratbirds are now the new threat to usurp the Bengals. That was actually a pretty crazy and entertaining game between the Steelers and Rats. But all the Bengals need to do is take care of business against San Diego and they will be set. Lose that game and the two and a half game lead in the division will shrink to only one game over the Rats. I am happy the Steelers lost because when that happens an angel always gets it’s wings, but the Rats are starting to play well and are becoming a concern. ---
