Spoken like a true fan of a division rival.

Hey, I’m just very very concerned about his health. The fact that the Vikings are still mathematically in the division race has nothing to do with it. 🆒

I guess it’s only apropos that the Packers’ QB gets injured too. This season is really fucking painful. Rodgers is out for the rest of the game, and the way the O line is playing, Flynn might have to get eyes in the back of his head.

The Matt Flynn era begins!!! Fear him!

JESUS TAPDANCING FUCKING CHRIST. The zebras just forgot that a team which fails to convert on fourth down LOSES THE GOD DAMNED BALL.

The Redskins had 4th and 4 at the 8 in the Buccaneers-Skins game with 9 seconds left. McNabb threw incomplete. The Redskins lined up for 4th and 4 AGAIN, and NOBODY ON THE FUCKING FIELD NOTICED.

Even the Buccaneers coaches - they showed Raheem Morris, who was standing there quietly.

The announcers even pointed out that it was actually fourth down right before the prior play, because the down marker was incorrect - and totally forgot that it had been fourth down once the play was over.

How, you ask, do I know that it was actually fourth down? I rewound it to the prior first down just to make sure I wasn’t going nuts, and the 'Skins definitely ran 5 plays without getting a first down.

1st - throw to Anthony Armstrong for 9 yards. 2nd - incomplete fade to Roydell Williams. 3rd - rush by Ryan Torain, loss of 3. 4th - throw to Fred Davis at the back of the end zone, incomplete. 5th - throw to Santana Moss coming across the middle, imaginary touchdown.

Fortunately Hunter Smith totally effed up the hold on the XP, and the Bucs will win anyway.

ETA: Three players later, they’ve figured it out - there was apparently a first down that wasn’t.

The Packers lose. Thu-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh Packers lose!

Nice job by the Lions defense. Suh is awesome. Any team would be lucky to have that guy. If the Lions had any kind of a quarterback today, they’d have won this game a lot more handily. Stanton did at least manage to put together the one scoring drive, so that’s something.

Tough road for the Cheese coming up - at the Patriots, then home against the Giants and Bears. They might not win another game, especially if Rodgers doesn’t come back right away.

Not this time. You’re D Line made mincemeat out of our O line, we lost 2 more starters to injuries, including our Pro Bowl Quarterback, and couldn’t capitalize whatsoever on the Lions’ misstakes. Congratulations. It was a painful fucking game.

Tiebreakers go to the divisional record first right? Meaning that if the Bears beat the Vikings and one other team they clinch the division right?

So, uh, I guess it’s good I haven’t bothered betting football this year.

So riddle me this, batmans. Delhomme is about to throw a pass, a Bills defender swats the back from behind as his arm is going forward, and the ball tumbles forward down the field. The refs immediately run in, blowing their whistles and waving their hands to end the play. The ball tumbles down the field for about 4 seconds until someone scoops it up, but both teams were making very little effort to recover it since it was most emphatically a dead play.

So the refs reviewed the play, and decided it was a fumble rather than incomplete pass, and it becomes Bills ball. So wait - the refs can rush into the play, blow the play dead FOR 3 OR 4 FULL FULL SECONDS while the ball tumbles down the field, making the Browns not even bother to try to recover it - but upon replay they can declare it a fumble and recovery? When the fuck did those rules come into play?

I mean, in a case where a ball comes out at the bottom of the pile and a recovery happens in half a second while the teams are still trying, I can see how that might work. But the refs can blow the play dead for a full 4 seconds, while both teams respond to the play being dead, and they can change that into a turnover? What the fuck?

Any chance that was actually a first down? (I didn’t see the game, but just found a site where one of the comments seemed to indicate this might have been the case.)

Head to head goes first, then divisional record. If the Bears beat the Packers again and one other team they win the division.

Right, I was thinking if the Packers beat the Bears in the last game and they end in a tie. Since The Bears already won one, it would go to the Division. Which would means the bears would win if the beat the Vikings because they would be up a game.

I had to listen to it on the radio. It wasn’t any better. I keep thinking that, at some point, the Pack will stop being fucked by injuries, but it just keeps getting worse. I can appreciate how hard they’ve played, how good a depth chart TT has built, and how much they’ve had to overcome, but it’s still really fucking painful.

I don’t know why the coaching staff can only fucking coach well against good teams. How is the same team that manhandled the Saints and Patriots with aggressive, ballsy playcalling the team that decides to kick a field goal from the 1 inch line after Hillis had just ran 7 straight times across the field? And then they decide well we’re running really well, so let’s try 19 straight 3 yard passes. And why the fuck is Jake fucking Delhomme in there when Wallce is perfectly competant?

The playcalling was so atrociously bad it’s just stunning. Complete jekyll and hyde team. Some of the best, ballsiest playcalling I see against good teams, and some of the most retarded shit against bad ones.
