After I picked Brees, I thought WRF are you doing. He will be pulled at halftime when the Saints are up by 5 TDs. Who would think that my beloved Redskins would give them a game. Drees at 293 and Mendenhall over a hundred. I hope that Rice is Favre’s favorite receiver tonight. ---

OT in DC. I got a chance to get this competitions first 400 yd game. Brees has 397 going into OT. Woohoo. I got 500 yds before my receive checks in. I hope Rice bought Favre a prime rib dinner this week. ---

Crap, forgot to pick players this week. Guess I’m stuck with the MNF poo-poo platter, and I already used both QBs. Wonderful…this week keeps getting worse. Man, I had to go out of my way to not have an awesome week this week. I had narrowed my QB choice down this week to McNabb, Romo, and Rivers. I decided that based on strength of schedule and weather issues, it’d be best to get McNabb out of the way first now that he was playing in a dome against a beat up secondary. I was spot on with my RB/WR picks (best RB this week, 6th best receiver) and if ended up going with Rivers like I almost did, my score for the week would be an awesome 630. Instead I got McNabb, who was actually ripping up the falcons until they pulled him in the third quarter so that Michael Vick could take a shit on the city of Atlanta. If he would’ve stayed in he would’ve had 300+ yards and my day still would’ve been good. As it is: Donovan McNabb 238 Johnathan Stewart 120 Chad Ochocinco 137 = 495. Not bad, but I was so close to having the first and third best score of anyone on any week. It seems like we have 10 or 12 300+ yard passers every week, and I’ve only gotten 3 all year. It would actually be hard to achieve that if that were your goal - I bet if we had a “pick the starting QB with the lowest yardage every week” competition you couldn’t do as well as I have at picking bad weeks for good quarterbacks. ---

My final choice came down to McNabb/Rivers/Romo, and had I picked either of the other two, I’d have had a great week 649 or 630 yards. I would own 2 of the top 2 or 3 scoring weeks in the league. BLAH! McNabb might’ve got up there too if he wasn’t pulled in the third quarter. My ability to narrow it down to 2-4 players and then always get it wrong is impressive. **VarlosZ** , Please spare me your wide receiver woes, look how I have done. I pick Welker last week and he gets 33 yds. Week before, he gets 170 yds; Week after he gets 170 yds. And I can seem to pick Running Backs either. Well, at least I am striking distance of the bronze metal now, 44 yds. ---
