I don’t like it because it uses female as an insult and I like females.

I’m just glad Cooke isn’t our problem anymore. The guy’s shown he’s obviously _capable_ of playing clean, but then he goes back to his old ways. (I guess without the threat of “shape up or ship out” now)

I wonder when everyone will eventually notice that chanting “CROSBY SUCKS!” usually results in him scoring. 😉

I don’t care if people mock his name, it’s just that 1.) it’s overdone and 2.) it’s a wee sexist. But like I said, keep booing him. I’m seriously, do it. Of course, I don’t mind when my cousin calls him “Cindy”. But that’s because she’s four and can’t say “Sidney” properly. 😃

Well, you’re in luck, Gweeen. (Let’s go with) Bing Crosby is destined to acheive another -6 plus/minus rating against the Range-ez. 🙂 Bruins and Habs will be another great series. A HUGE series, counting height and weight. 😃

Good luck in the series!

The Kings got a freaking gift of a penalty and tied it up. Insider info: if you snap your head back for any reason, you get a power play.

Kings up 2-1.

I am trying to think of a team that has put so many contenders on the ice for as long as the Sharks have without at least getting IN to a final. I can’t think of one.

Not to beat up on them but suppose the Sharks lose. Is Joe Thornton a Hall of Famer right now? You’d assume he is but, man, what a track record of captaining teams to nowhere.

3-1 now.

A lot of hall of famers were never on championship teams.

The Kings probably would have won anyway, but the blown call on the goal that would have put the Sharks ahead was brutal. With their miserable time scoring, to know they scored a goal and it was missed must be hard to deal with. The NHL needs a replay system.

4 teams have come back from 3 games down and won. 2 of them have had Mike Richards and Jeff Carter on them. Not to mention Justin Williams and his 10pts in 5 Game 7s).

Of course, and that’s true in all sports. Not a lot, though, never even make it to the championship round. And name a Hall of Famer this remarkably connected to an extraordinarily high level of consistent, year-after-year playoff choking and failure.

When the heat is on, and his team needs a leader, Joe Thornton always, always fails. He vanishes. He’s been doing it for like twelve years. Captain November.

I’m not sure if you’re serious here or not…but the NHL has a replay system, and it was used on that play. But since the call on the ice was ‘no goal’, the replay official apparently didn’t have enough evidence to overturn it.

I can’t recall what the rule is in hockey; does the puck have to be completely over the goal line, or does it simply need to touch the goal line at some point? If the latter, then that should have been a goal; if the former, I’m not so sure.

I don’t think it would have mattered anyway; the Sharks seemed to forget what they were doing after game 3.
Oh well…it’s Baseball Season!!!

It has to completely cross the goal line.

In that case, I don’t \*think \*it was a goal…from one camera it looked like it was past the line when Quick caught it, but from another it looked like it was definitely on the line…so I think the refs made the correct call.

I’m still pissed off at the Sharks for playing like minor-leaguers for most of the last 4 games, but I have to give a lot of credit to Jonathan Quick. Some of the saves he made last night were just nuts.

That makes more sense then. I rarely watch hockey, but I randomly turned to the game (with Sharks announcers) right when it happened, and they seemed sure it was a goal.

You could see from the front that the puck was partially behind the post, but part of it could also have been above the goal line. Bad announcers.
