Obviously, with Vegas getting a team, adding another Western Conference team was going to happen soon. And, Portland still remains to take the Coyotes once that failed experiment finally ends. ---

Totems sounds awkward to say, but had good imagery. Seals or Sea Lions would be OK but would feel like a letdown and there are two pinniped predators used by nearby NHL mascots. ---

They could do a deal with the band and be the Seattle Screaming Trees; that would be pretty cool, especially the mascot. Just, FFS, don’t tack a stupid color onto a mascot and call it good. No one wants the Seattle Silver Sockeyes or the Seattle Umber Pumpkins or etc., etc. ---

Seattle Mudhoneys? Feels like I’ve been getting repeatedly slapped in the face how the Canucks consistently blow leads - pretty well every fucking game. Even though they were _long_ out of the play-off race, I’d still watch, but lately that’s been too big an ask, what with all their third period implosions, and so I went and cancelled any future Canucks recordings on my PVR. Felt like a blasphemous fairweather fan, doing it, however enough’s enough. If there’s sequences like with Daniel Sedin against the Preds the other night, near the end of the second period, where the puck went by him FIVE TIMES (while he was standing in the slot) and was unable to receive a pass, nor re-direct a slap-pass to the net, well, then, it’s time. (For him.) Looking like Barzal just might edge out Boeser for the Calder.☹ I can’t believe the season Price is having - showing he’s human, I guess. Must be quite the wear and tear on him, not only having no support in front of him, but also being under the magnifying glass of the most intense NHL media. (not fun if you’re a Hab this season) ---

I imagine one covered in ads would be less appealing when you’re spending at least $100 and often much more for a jersey. Although I certainly haven’t been everywhere, it has been my experience that you just don’t often see adults in most other countries wearing sports jerseys, especially if there’s no game that day, whereas it is common in the USA. I’ve worked in offices where NFL jerseys were common every Friday during the season. ---

I don’t know, I’ve been in a London sports shop where they are selling tons of team jerseys to fans and they are always covered with ads. ---
