Jesus Detroit fans are insufferable. Penguins seem to have it somewhat in control this period after completely losing it, and Detroit has played some of the best hockey of this series, especially with the help from Daytsuk, but there’s no reason to act like Ravens fans. It’s unbecoming. Especially with regards to Crosby - he’s an all around class act, especially for his age, as well as most of the players on Pittsburg/Detroit (except for Hossa).

I should say Red Wings specifically - I have nothing but respect for Lions fans, after following the Pirates my entire life.
Yeah, That was a weird looking effort. He didn’t hit hm that hard, But he really didn’t make much of an effort to look like he was trying to hold up. It was like he just decided to hit him hard enough that they have to call a penalty. I don’t know if it was a brain fart, or a screwed up attempt to send a message or what.

Pitttsburgh looked, in game 5, like Detroit did in game 4.Wings bounced backed…let’s see if the pings do. Doubt it.Wings in 6! 
After that hit, never mind - this whole game has been classless for Pens. Hopefully game 6 is better hockey!

The same Sidney Crosby that whacked Zetterberg pointlessly in the knee, or the classy Evgeni Malkin that elbowed Franzen in the face, then just now crosschecked Franzen right in the back? Then again, it’s easy to be the classier team when you’re up a goal or two or five.
And let’s really not talk about the lack of class amongst fans. It’s a tradition for the fans of any team to mockingly chant the goalies name of the other team once they’ve given up two goals. It’s easier to be the classier fan when you’re suffering a loss with stoic silence.
Lastly, respecting Lions fans is like respecting Sisyphus for continuing to push that boulder.
No comparisons between Pittsburgh this game to Detroit last game. The best comparison is Pittsburgh this game and Chicago in game four of the last series. Stupid, stupid penalties and too much frustration spilling over. At least Pittsburgh had the decency not to drop this steaming pile of a game in front of the home fans. Even worse, now there are two days off between this game and the next, so any fatigue remaining on the Wings will most assuredly be gone. Crosby and the Penguins had a great chance to put the Wings down for the count and they choked. Much like game four of the Chicago/Detroit series, Detroit didn’t win this game. Pittsburgh lost this game.

I started watching this game with trepidation. Then the Wings scored… scored again…and kept scoring. Wings are up 3-2, but don’t count Pittsburg out. Lets wait until it over before shit talk begins in earnest. No, seriously, the Penguins are still in it. I’m not joking.
That being said, if ever asked by Tyler Durden, “If you could fight one proffesional hockey player, who would you fight?”. I’d answer, “Maxine Talbot”. Yeah, he’d kick my ass. We’re the same size, he’s in better shape. I’d still love to punch him. He’s a joke. He’s even got a pussy name.
Unlike Pens fans, who’ve just started watching again a year or two ago, Wings fans have been watching about the last 15 years. We’ve made the playoffs consecutively longer than that. Try reading this thread before the Stanley Cup finals began to see what I’m talking about. Tons of Wings fans from the very begining. Penguins fans come in to complain about bad luck and bad bounces when the Pens go down 2-0… 9 pages in. You won the superbowl, our team was 0-16. Please stop pretending the Penguins were predestined to win the Cup. Wings won the cup last year, and that was without your 3rd best player on our team. Hockey fans who know anything never say never, but odds are on the Wings.
Like I said before, the series is in the air until someone wins on the other guys ice. I would love to say the series is over but, I can not. The Pens get to make the match ups they want next game. That makes a difference.
Total and complete ass-kicking. Wings sure don’t look old at home (just like the first two). Pens just couldn’t do a thing right, and made it worse by getting cheap. I’ve always said if you want to fight, drop the gloves and fight. Malkin’s butt-end was lousy. Talbot’s slash was unbelievably bad. That’s the opposite of sending a message. I don’t see any positives in this game for my team.
I know it was only one goal of the many, but Holmstrom’s screen was the reason for it. Old, slow, whatever you want to say about him, the guy can still play.
