On April 5, 1970, Chicago scored five empty-net goals against Montreal. How/why you ask? Montreal had to tie or win the game to make the playoffs. With 9:30 left in the 3rd period and behind 5-2, they pulled their goalie and lost 10-2. A close race that year - Montreal finished only seven points out of first place. ---
