> [@stpauler](#): > > Ya know what would be nice when this happens? Since [straightdope.com](http://straightdope.com) doesn’t seem to go down when the boards do, how about putting a message up on [sd.com](http://sd.com)’s website? If there’s an ETA for when the board’ll be back up, put it. If no ETA, just say that too. > [@www.straightdope.com](#): > > **Our server crashed!** We hope to complete restoration of the Straight Dope Message Board database by Saturday morning. All SDMB subscriptions will be extended two days. Our apologies. You mean this? ---

Wait! Wait! It goes too fast for me now! I can’t _think_ that fast! Besides…no time to grab a cup of coffee, sort through the pile on my desk, and hop in the shower. They’ve ruined it for me! ---

It’ll slow down later. Not everyone has check back to see if it’s up. Then comes Monday. So… enjoy it now. ---

_Posted June 4, 2015_ Let me see if I’ve got this straight–when the SDMB is moved to the new tesseract, the very fabric of time and space will implode? ---
