# Nice salaries!

Yeah, it varies by industry a lot. But I can see **BlinkingDuck** ’s incredulousness at the amount his employment costs the employer, depending on what he does. I am an independent contractor (photographer), and I would not go to a full-time job with benefits at half my gross business receipts.

Forget supplies. How about their portion of your employer funded health insurance? 401K? Social Security? Insurance for unemployment benefits?
