(In more modern times, I’ve heard _blazed_ or _baked_ used as variations) ---

Back in St. Louis long ago, I knew this guy. The dad in his family looked exactly like Fred MacMurray. He had three sons. So the friends I hung out with had readymade names for various levels of being stoned. Ernie was the least, then Chip, Robbie, and Mike. “Fred MacMurray” meant you were extremely stoned. “Uncle Charlie” covered everything between unconsciousness and death. The theoretical next level was “Salvador Dalí.” In Italian, one way to say stoned is _stonato_, which literally means out of tune. It has no relation to the word _stoned,_ but the chance resemblance was enough for it to catch on. The way to say “baked” is _fatto_, literally ‘done’. ---

There are equivalent slangs regarding substance induced erectile difficulties in the stimulant world, for instance “party dick” and “crystal dick”, both referring to not being able to get it up caused by overindulgence in methamphetamine, and “coke dick” which meaning is obvious. ---
