All of your suggestions are good, epecially the 85 Villanova team, but was their a name?
I can’t even think of a name for the tourney run by NC State under Jimmy V.? That had to be one of, if not, the greatest run in tourney history.

How about games named for a player who had a remarkable achievement? A couple that come to mind are the “Kerry Wood game” in 1998, when, as a Cubs rookie, he struck out 20 Astros and gave up only one hit, which could have been ruled an error instead. The other is the “Ryne Sandberg game” in 1984, when he hit a home run off St. Louis’s Bruce Sutter in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game, and another off Bruce Sutter in the bottom of the 10th to tie the game. He ended up going 5-for-6 with 7 RBIs that game, which the Cubs won in 11.
While it’s not the name of a particular play or game, every baseball fan knows what Reggie Reggie Reggie refers to. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a video clip of it. For those who don’t follow baseball, Reggie Jackson of the New York Yankees hit home runs on consecutive first pitches from three different Los Angeles Dodgers pitchers in game 6 of the 1977 World Series.
