Well, no one ever said that my dad had a great imagination. I was/am called **Big Sister** and my younger sister is called, of course, Little Sister. I hated it. At the time I was overweight, had glasses and was extremely introverted and thought the whole world hated me (a depression issue) so that just iced the cake. My older brother was called Dago cause he was born in San Diego. IRL my name is Luann, I hate it when people call me Lu. Sounds like some big dumb (no offense!) police detective. We call our 16 yr. old “Mavis”, just cause it sounds funny. She hates it. ---

In sixth grade I was dubbed Bucky the Beaver because I had really bad buck teeth, which have since been corrected through the use of braces. Damn I hated being called that. ---

Mom always called me **Boop**. I don’t know why. Maybe because I was such a ham, like Betty Boop! Who knows. In 5th grade I was called **Mental**. No, not any mental condition. It was like, “Hello, Mental, how are you today?” It started out with kids calling me by my last name (two syllables, first one “Men”) and a teacher overheard a student and asked, “What did he call you? Mental?” and the name stuck. Yuck. _Forever_ I was called **Papagano the Magic Flute** or just **Flute**. This really didn’t have anything to do with me; this group of kids who lived to torment me just decided to call me that for no good reason. It was most annoying, especially since I’m female, and, well, Papagano is male. Most recent nickname hated: in 7th grade, my close friends called me **Devil Face** because of my “creepy” green eyes. :rolleyes: I like being called Welfy though! 😃 ---

Being rather rotund while I was at school, most of the other kids just called me “lard arse” or “fat bastard”. I’m thick-skinned, so it didn’t bother me. I just wished they could have thought of something more original. The excess weight dropped off long ago, so nobody uses those nicknames any more. My first name is Kirk, so people always call me Captain. When I was born, the nurses in the maternity unit at the hospital used to refer to me as Captain Kirk, and it’s been the same ever since. I don’t even like Star Trek, so I don’t find it particularly endearing. ---

Hated as a kid? Hell people still call me Lisa-pizza or Lisa-lisa. I don’t know why every one finds the need to repeat my name twice. ---
