Mother: Becca  
Sister: Re-Becky when I was little, now nothing  
Father: uh…, Beck?  
HS Science teacher: Beck-eye

Now most everyone calls me Rebecca, or Miss Davis. Or occasionally, Madame.

My first name is Rasha.  
You asked for 'em, you got 'em, **Sue**!

My little brother said **Ra-Ra**.  
My pre-school teacher called me **RashaNatashatheQueenoftheSteps**.  
My daddy calls me **Beautiful, Sweet Sister, Glorious,** and **Natosch**.  
My best friend in 8th grade called me **B.C.** which stood for Boy Crazy.  
My best friend in high school still calls me **'shana** which is short for **Rashashana**.  
Another friend from high school still calls me **'tushka** which is short for **Ratushka**.  
My husband calls me **Sweet Pea** and **Own** which is short for **Only**. (He’s Juan, I’m Only.)

Well. now… _thinks_ Ma called me Tiger or Pumpkin (yeah, yeah, pipe down back there!) but I never really had a nickname when I was a kid - I mean, one I actually wanted.

My last name’s Skinner… lot of ratbastards in school called me Skinhead. Burns my ass to think of it even now. 😛

My co-worker calls me “Skinny”, altho’ someone just came up with “Professor” since I’m a master of arcane knowledge. Thanks, SDMB! 🙂

How lame is this? I have a friend who’s brother’s nickname is Ace. He the most arrogant jerk in the world. I almost certain that it is a self imposed nickname.

Would it be hijacking the thread to have people include names of people who gave themselves nicknames.

Someone else I know gave themselves the nickname Spike.

People who give themselves nicknames are the ones who always think they should be liked a little more than they really are.
