If that hadn’t happened, I’m sure the military strikes would have continued increasing. Maybe not technically a “war”, but it would do until a real war came along. ---

Iran wouldn’t be an easy war either. Not like China, but not a pushover. I’m sure he’d also give himself a medal if possible. I’d be slightly amused if it turned out there were unofficial communications between the Haley and Biden camps re: dealing with Trump, though I know it would evoke a political firestorm. ---

Plus, it was free exposure. Trump gets it constantly by being deplorable; Haley has had her brushes with deplorability (see ‘causes of Civil War not including slavery’). But she has zero chance of getting a tenth of the free publicity her rival gets. So look for her to try to get booked on all the talk shows. Hell, she’d probably do _Dancing with the Stars_ if they’d have her. ---

I’m sure they’ve offered an invitation to Trump (in fact, because the Equal Time provision is still in effect, I believe they have to) but since he no longer needs free publicity, nor enjoys SNL, he won’t take them up on it.
