# Ninjas vs. Pirates

Could someone please explain to me the ongoing blood feud between ninjas and pirates? How did it start? Who struck first? Why does it continue? Are there any attempts at making peace between the two groups? What is the history of the conflict?
And, that said, would you rather be a ninja or a pirate?

Answering some questions:
“Who struck first?”: Ninjas blame pirates, pirates blame ninjas, and most historians say they both did it at once.
“Why does it continue?”: No motivation to end the fighting.
“Are there any attempts at making peace between the two groups?”: There have been several attempts, most notably the Javits Commission of 1974-1976, the Sacramento Summit of 1949, and the various efforts of Lord Randolph Churchill.

Every time I have seen ninjas, on TV and movie screen. They hop around, do flips, swing their swords and nun-chuchs around, and put on a grandstand, until they get their collective asses kicked by one or two heroes. Instead of using their superior numbers to dogpile an enemy, they circle and flip around, while one or two actually attempt anything.
Kind of like the N.B.A.
