Oh my Og! I just watched the scene where they are operating on the pseudo-Carver victim but she isn’t fully under yet and can feel everything being done to her. I’m glad they cut to commercial when they did because the audio along with the visuals were about to make me pass out or throw up. I kept getting that tingly feeling all over my body. Why the hell do I watch this show?

It’s not a spoiler in the sense of something I’ve read. Just my own hypothesis.

I haven’t participated in any N/T threads this season, but I’m finding the show to have dropped considerably in quality. The various relationships are becoming cartoonish, and each character has already had so much work done that the writers might as well bring in Phylis Diller as a regular.

Do we have to put speculation in spoiler boxes? Yeah, I agree, but I didn’t think so until tonight’s ep. It’s a red herring to have Christian arrested, and clumsy of the writers, unless they’re doing it as a ruse to draw the real Carver out.
**Amp** , me too. Those scenes took my breath away. I can’t remember the last time something not-real affected me like that.
Maybe I’m cold-blooded, but when Ellie’s husband introduced his girlfriend, I thought good, she can stop feeling guilty now.
Good episode, even the stuff with Frick and Frack. That felt realistic.

Does anyone else notice the abundant use of the word “shit” lately? I don’t recall hearing it used last season and now every sentence is peppered with it. Don’t get me wrong; I have no problem with salty language, in fact I’ve got a pretty foul mouth myself. I guess that’s kind of the point; if a potty mouth like me notices it’s overuse, they must be saying it a lot. Maybe it’s use has recently been approved by the censors?

Their rival surgeon…Wayne? Last we saw he fell out after huffing gas, but it was never verified that he died, was it?

ARGH!
Just watched this on my DVR last night and either FX ran it a few minutes late, or my DVR started recording a few minutes early.
My recording ended just as the faux Carver victim turned around with her snack to see the Carver there. I assume the episode ended with him attacking her? Did he have any choice words for her that I missed?
Doesn’t look like FX has next week’s promo on the website yet. Anything good in the preview?

The Carver wrote “fraud” in her blood. Apparently he killed her.
Next week’s previews show Christian accused of being the Carver.

My staunchly held theory about the Carver is that it’s
Kimber
But they did go to some lengths to imply it’s
Quentin
in the previews after the premiere.
**lorek** … the episode ran 4 minutes past the hour. I missed what the Carver first said to the faux victim, but I did catch something like “Now I’ll give you what you always wanted…” as s/he slashed downward with the knife.
I’ve also noticed somewhat of a decline in the quality… I almost change the channel every time Matt comes on the screen, and Mr. Kitty asked the other night “do the characters do anything but argue and have sex?” I’m hoping that when they resolve the Carver storyline the show will get better.
And yeah, the surgery scenes were terrible. At first I thought it was a sort of weird dream sequence, like Christian was imagining it as a way of “connecting” with her, but then it kept going… and going… and going. That last scream was horrific.

Gosh I love this show. Hadn’t seen it for a while before two weeks ago, so I got the usual- one sex-filled orgy episode, then one gory surgery but with heart. Same old, but I still love it. And ‘becoming’ cartoonish? Don’t tell me anyone sees this as anything but a sexy campfest?
As for the Carver…
