# No downloading TurboTax anymore?

The IRS doesn’t typically audit beyond 3 years back unless fraud is involved. ((And ‘typically’ may be ‘never’ there, but they might not agree on whether or not it was fraud.))

So TurboTax programs old enough that won’t run on current computers are quite likely unnecessary.
