FTR: I was just joking about my self-esteem being damaged. Trust me, that is **not** one of the taterproblems. 🙂 And those ads might be pathetic and sleazy, but I’ve seen more pathetic and more sleazy, so I’d not really something I’m going to get bothered by. It would be preferable if they waited until the girls were sober and got them to sign a release, but IMO if I were flashing people at a public event I wouldn’t go crying if somebody taped me. I think this is the commercial that Mr. Scarlett saw on Christmas night, on Comedy Central no less, while my friend whose family we had invited for the day was packing up her 3-year-old in the front hallway **and her 13-year-old daughter was standing in the living room next to him.** Poor Mr. Scarlett didn’t know whether he or Lily was more embarrassed. ---

I totally agree with **Lizard** that selling these tapes as jack-off material is totally lame. I second the “Get real porn” motion. Plus, as a chick who has flashed on Mardi Gras (in Baltimore, not New Orleans), I am totally grossed out by the thought that someone might be videotaping this, then selling it, & not giving me a cut of the action. Back to the OP, Lizard asks: And who buys \? Haven’t they ever heard of porn?? Perhaps the buyers of this sort of film are buying it specifically because it “isn’t porn”. They may be viewing it as trouble-free voyeurism. Seems to me the market for this film would be the kind of person who is intensely aroused by the accidental flash rather than the consumer of hard-core porn. There must be a market for this type of …uh…(can I buy a noun here?) as I’ve seen commercials for other similar videos since the early 90’s (when I got cable). I don’t think the purchasers of this…video are any more or less losers than the people who watch “regular porn”. Porn’s where you find it, and only scary/contemptible when it’s not _your_ form of porn. ---
