Actually, he was pre-named when we adopted him, and he was responding to the name. However, they’d spelled it “Sysco”. I didn’t want to confuse the little guy by renaming him, but I didn’t want a cat named after a[food distributor](http://www.sysco.com/) either. So I just tweaked the spelling - I was actually thinking of something more along [these lines](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cisco_Kid). ---

My Joey has a thing about pulling hair out of my hairbrush and eating it while I’m at work if I forget to put it back in the drawer in the morning. Occasionally I will come home and start to scoop the litter box only to find several poops strung together on a long strand of my hair. I keep having discussions with him about how dangerous this is, but he doesn’t seem to care. He also loves water…he wants to be in the shower with me, and if I don’t close the toilet lid he gets in there and plays in the water. ---

Obviously, we have several Dopers who have forgotten the Kitty Posting Rule, which roughly translated is: Any Doper who post about his/her cat in a thread must post pic in said thread. People, people, people, what becomes of life once we throw caution to the wind and abandon the rules??? Carry on. ---

I’m not a cat or anything, but when I was a wee one I ate plaster, dead insects, corners off pages, etc. And I _twitch_ turned out _twitch_ OK. _twitch_ ---

Our dog Maggie ate most of a razor today. She’s chewed on them before, but that’s the last time I put one in the bathroom garbage, even at the bottom of the can. Remarkably, she seems to be fine. ---
