Stuff I forgot to say earlier: **Bumba** watch it with the over medication stuff. **Taters** around here, they always card (except for this one guy at my favorite store who’s known me for a long time) everybody in the liquor stores around here. What’s funny is when somebody gets all upset over being carded. Makes me feel good. **Lissla** I like the idea of you being our cook at the home. One more thing: Know what feels real good? A terrycloth robe fresh out of the dryer. It’s all warm and fresh smellin’! AAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! I’m wearing it right now. It completes my ensemble of white tshirt, brown and tan plaid lounging pants and white socks. Any look can be pulled together with the right accessories. Always remember that. 😃 ---

I shower, there’s the dog waiting for me on my bed. He’s a good dog, but he sure doesn’t want to leave my side today. Maybe he’s hoping for some roast scraps. Maybe _thats_ his evil little plan. ---

Cap’n’s smart. Stick by mommy all day. Show mommy how much I loooooooooooooooooooooooooove her. Then I’ll get me some roast. Smart dog, that one. Heh, makes me think of the bordie collie my folks had. Buddy watched out for mom all the time. If she wasn’t there, he stayed on the back porch right by the door waiting for her. If she was in the house by herself, he guarded the back porch and woe be to anyone who did not let Buddy know who you were before attempting to walk up on the porch. He was a very friendly dog, but when he’d go on patrol he was all business. He once chased my BIL up a tree because BIL was wearing a cap and Buddy didn’t recognize him. I would not get out of my vehicle at my parent’s house at night without calling Buddy and having him recognize me first. When mom was in the yard Buddy was by her side. If anybody came up in the yard he would not let that person between him and mom until she said it was ok. I teased mom about being Buddy’s sheep. 😃 ---

Oh that’s Cap’n alright. Mr. Lovey-Dovey. All 90 or more pounds of him. He’s the biggest love in the world; BUT…no one EVER messes with Mommy in his presence. He gets upset, even if it just playing. He waits for me at the front door every day and is downright upset if I don’t arrive at the appointed hour. Time to do something productive. ---

Smokeycat sticks by my side when I’m home, espcially after I’ve been away for a weekend or so. She also follows me into the 'loo. I live alone, so I don’t always (read never) close the door unless I have company. When I do close the door, Smokey gets very bewildered and sits and meows until I emerge. ---

Quincy, my older beagle, will bark if he wants to get under the covers. He always wants to get in under the covers. It’s a perfect barking frequency, it is. He’ll sit there and bark…bark…bark…until you zombie over, and lif tthe sheets open for him. Then he nestles in where he feels like it and moves your legs over. Then he growls if you try to move him. Damned tri-colored overlords. If they weren’t so damned cute and warm and great, I’d toss him out in the street and hope he gets hit by a bus. Then Nordberg, AKA Rocketdog, the puppy, will bounce across your face when you’re still trying to sleep because she wants to play. She has THE loudest bark I’ve ever heard, especially out of a little beagle. She’ll croon away at Quincy until he gets annoyed, then he barks back. Sleep quickly becomes impossible. ---

Didn’t have time to spread any of my mulch here, but I did do some clean-up. I’ve made a couple of calls and sent a couple e-mails. Should throw another load of laundry in the washer. My darling puppy (okay, she’s 5, but she’ll always be a puppy to me) always makes sure to come in and check on me if I’m in the bathroom and the door’s open just the tiniest crack. Then she walks out, leaving it wide open. She also gets bored in the middle of the night and changes whose bed she’s in. Of course, her presence must be announced, so she has to paw at the human who happens to be in her new spot, just so that they know she’s there. This, however, is completely unnecessary sometimes, as I’m already aware of her presence if she’s just managed to jump on my ass in the process of getting into my bed. And for some reason, I actually miss all this when I’m off at college. ---

I always think it would be nice to have a puppy like that (I address all dogs as “puppy”). Then I think about my life and how much time I actually have to spend with a puppy and figure I’ll enjoy other people’s puppies instead. GT ---

well, I’ve put off my taxes til the last minute again this year. I’m bringing everything to my accountant tomorrow, and I’ll pick it up on Thursday. I’m not too concerned - I know I’m getting a refund. But every year I swear I’m going to have things done by February and every year I invariably run around like a headless chicken the 2nd week of April. I keep meaning to join procrastinators of America, but I keep putting it off. ---

Someone once told me that dogs are babies that never grow up and I think she was right. This is why I do not have a dog. I already have 3 individuals dependent on me-why have one more? but I’ll have a good time with your pupdog when I visit. ---
