Nice album, **rosie**. Everyone looks like they’re having lots of fun! The pillow appears to have hit the nail on the head. Ah, yes, drama in the workplace is a wonderful thing. Or at least entertaining from time to time. Good thoughts for successful surgery for **Taters’** Mom. Love the jello names, **Bumba.** Oh, and **Lissla** , has Driving Husband noticed that Boron rhymes with a certain unflattering term? Poor child. As for James Ryker… I can just imagine the conversation: “So, “Ryker,” is that a family name?” “No, we named him after a Star Trek character.” That’s guaranteed to impress. Yay for the impending boat sale! I’m sure it’s hard to part with the boat, but it sounds like it’s what you ought to do right now. Work has been really stressful the last couple of days. Too much to do, too little time. Seems like I spent all day today cleaning up other people’s messes. But we had a really nice team lunch. BBQ & mac’n’cheese & greens & green beans & sweet potatoes & other related items. Yum. Oh, and did I say: Yummm. Mostly, we talked about how good the food was. Well…there was more, but I’m tired and want to read for a while. Maybe I’ll stop by again later… GT ---

Hey **gt,** I noticed you never took up my hubby’s offer of driving 2000 miles to your place with a load of Tagro for the lawn. 😉 The grass is already greening up quite nicely. At least, where it’s poking through the layer of Tagro. That stuff works and works really well. The only real problem is that it seems one must mow the lawn more often because it grows so fast. Well, off to do some stuff. ---

Yes, he has, he’s just stubborn. And dumb. I just had a nice chat with Best Friend, mostly about food. Her husband (the one with all the terrible health problems) has just been tested for allergies, and he’s allergic to beef, lamb, vanilla, garlic, egg whites, and most cheeses. And a bunch of stuff that I can’t remember. I commiserated with her about losing garlic. How can you cook without garlic? Yeesh. Aside from that, they’re both doing pretty well. Lamb. And beef. How can you be allergic to _beef_? ---

That sucks–I can’t imagine being allergic to garlic–what about onion (they are closely related)? BTW: Is anyone ever going to post the translation of the MMP’s title for this ignorant slut? Off to get jammies on and watch John Stewart. I made it to the grocery store, so I don’t have to do _that_ tomorrow, thank Og. ---

rotten day. ☹ I felt sick all day and still do… messed up my hand at work- first by driving a staple through my thumb, second by absentmindedly missing the bowl I was pouring scalding sauce into and pouring it down my hand instead, and third by getting just a bit too close to the reciept spike and getting the skin between my pinkie and ring finger. It was slow early on, so the manager decide one of us could go home early. She asked whose turn it was and I said it was mine becuase the other girl went home early last time. She let the other girl go. Got home to find that Lost didn’t tape. And to top it all off, I’m the fattest person on the face of the planet. ☹ When will I stop being fat? WHEN?? More later when I’m finished some homework. If I’ve got to be fat, I’d better do well in school. Lord knows I’ll never make it as a bigtime performer. ignore me. I’m just having tantrums. ---

I am. 😉 Oh, and _Lost_ is usually downloadable for a couple bucks the day after. Alas, we actually Tivo’d and didn’t tape this week, so I can’t send you a copy–but somebody over in this week’s thread would probably be happy to, if you ask nice. (There was one moment that made any aggravation you might go through to get a copy _completely_ worth it.) If **bonkeydear** is mad at anyone for the manpris, it’s _all_ of us–I’d say most of the MMP nixed that idea. **Lissla** –Allergic to _beef_?? But … but … but … _hamburgers_!! That poor, poor man. **Swampy** , keep us posted–I want to hear about the exit interview, because that’s the best time to throw a fit. ---

My first job was working for a friend’s grandfather at his restaurant. I was making $2 an hour under the table, and had to quit when I got a car and started driving. I just could not afford my car at those wages. Early computers: High School - TRS-80 with a tape recorder drive (that was _fast_ compared to the one I used before that which required a paper tape to load the program). Then when I was a senior, Digital Electronics donated a couple of workstations with a 3 Meg disk drive. The disc was about the size of a man-hole cover. Today is going to be a very, very long day. There’s the usual six hours of class, but since it’s GM week, I’ve promised to write two articles for the Poly, and lo and behold I’m covering back to back events tonight, 4.5 hours total. My day “ends” at 10 pm, and by “ends” I mean I’ll still have homework to do afterwards. All right, **Spats** --I got issues wid you. I find myself at a loss when contemplating your SI definitions of the day. For example: newton yesterday’s definition–what is a newton? And this _coulomb_ -what’s that when it’s at home, eh? The words, they individually make sense (some of them) but I cannot grasp the meaning. \ There goes my chance for a Mrs Robinson moment, I know. \ **welby** --Marcus, you be doctor and I’ll be the nurse…heheheh. There are shouting arguing Italian men outside. They woke me up this morning, and they’re now doing construction on the next building. They’re loud, and have poor opinions of each others’ skill. I had dreams so boring that when I woke up, I couldn’t be sure that I was actually asleep, because I didn’t remember the sensation of slipping from dream to wakefulness. Yup. Allergic to beef. Also, Mr. Lissar has just suggested that I make all our sandwich buns, because apparently Costco ones are subpar. He said, and I quote, “Darling, I _like_ your bread. I just don’t eat it.” :rolleyes: ---
