New rant: due to the extreme conditions that my vacuum has been under since Sunday, it has gone to the other side. I mean, it was 10 years old and it had done good duty but this house did it in. So why don’t I just use the owners’ vacuum? After taking a look, I decided that it was worth it to shell out money now for a new one of my own. Every day I find something new that grosses me out. My poor vacuum. May you rest in peace. ---

Breathing is right at the top of my to-do list. Even if you usually shower or bathe in the morning, try taking a long steamy shower right before you go to bed. Sometimes this is enough to get things unclogged. It really does need to be a shower, and you should stay in it until the hot water heater is empty. Hang the hot water bill, breathing is important. Besides, this is a matter of life and death. Not YOURS, but your family’s. If you can’t breathe, you might get…cranky. And you might have to kill someone. Wow…there’s a certain thread on here where people have really different views than me. Political views. And it’s not even in GD… I sometimes feel I should stay out of that thread, but I feel compelled to keep returning. Can’t really express my displeasure in that thread, so I’m saying it here. Have you considered asking other nursing mothers if they’ve had the same experience? It wouldn’t _seem_ that the baby should have to work harder on one nipple than the other. OTOH, maybe you’re producing chocolate milk on that side, and the baby is just REALLY eager to get at it. More seriously, perhaps you could look into whether you’ve got blockage on one side. ---

Having just seen another “story” in a sidebar on a news site… I do not give a shit if some waitress in Ratfuck, Wisconsin didn’t get tipped and someone left her a note lecturing about her looks/race/weight/political views or whatever. In a nation of 320 million people, some of them are assholes. This is not news. This doesn’t have to be taking up space. And the idiots who make this profitable for the new site by getting outraged that, yes, someone in Maryland is racist need to find something new (and more local) to give a shit about.
