The thing that troubles me about this the most is that it underplays the significance of actual rape and other types of coercive sex. I’m now imagining a horrible scenario: A woman goes to the police and tearfully reports that the night before, she was drugged and raped by her “date.” The female officer replies “That’s nice, dear. My husband raped me last night after the game. The sickening thing is that these nutbags give actual feminists a bad image. Because I don’t see these women as feminists – not even radical feminists. They care more about hating men (and they come right out and admit that men are all evil and cannot be changed), than they do about advancing women’s rights. ---
