Again, fantasy land. Pure fantasy. If you think that anyone other than US will actually impose those sanctions if US, basically unilaterally, impose theirs, that’s pure fantasy.
Even if this is true (and I’m far from convinced), we and the world are still a lot better off with the deal than with the deal being rejected. All of the bad stuff being described would happen without the deal, it seems to me, while with the deal there’s a possibility it wouldn’t happen.
Translation: “bad deal is better than no deal”.
It’s not a bad deal (in my opinion based on what I’ve read). But even if it’s as bad as the critics say, it’s better than no deal. In the real world of today, America and the world are better of with this deal than with this deal being rejected, good or bad. There’s nothing that I’ve heard that could happen with this deal in place that would be worse than the things happening with the deal being rejected.
Alternate response…
Translation: “I agree but I’m opposing the deal anyway because Obama”.
You haven’t actually provided one solid reason why it is a bad deal. Much less come up with a better alternative. This is like the GOP’s healthcare position: we hate what Obama did, but have no ideas ourselves.
