# No more phoning while driving

That’s the price we pay for making it impossible for a single person to become so powerful as to take over the country and make lives horrible for a lot of people. And it seems to me that the EU crisis has Germany making the same type of choice.

Please tell me this is a joke…I know “Godwin’s Law” and all that, but seriously? Saying that a “no cell-phone while driving” law would be akin to the circumstances that led to Hitler’s rise to power is one of the stupidity things I’ve read all day.

No, it really isn’t. In fact, it’s totally unrelated.

Germany has lots of road safety laws because German people think they’re sensible, not because they were imposed by force or something.
