# No more time for debate. Now I am outraged! \[Toronto police shooting\]

Bumping with an update. [Forcillo lost his appeal today](http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/court-upholds-const-james-forcillo-s-6-year-prison-term-in-sammy-yatim-streetcar-shooting-1.4639411). I have to admit, this brings a smile to my face.

Update: the Supreme Court of Canada will decide on Thursday if they will grant leave to appeal in this case.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they do grant leave. The facts and the verdict are unusual.

Well, I was wrong. The SCC denied leave to appeal. End of the road for the shooter.
