A moment of silence, please, for the man who helped give us this earworm:

Tomorrow
Tomorrow
I love you
Tomorrow
You’re always a day away.

_Almost_ a misleading title. Yeah, _Annie_, not _Little Orphan Annie_. The latter creator died in 1968. It would be amazing if the creator of strip that started in 1924 had just died.

**Mrs. FtG** has had the “pleasure” of attending a small school’s version of the musical. (We need a brrr/shiver emoticon.)

_Forbidden Broadway_ sent this up wonderfully by bring a much older Annie on stage, holding a stuffed “Sandy” and taking a long drag on a cigarette before bursting into

_I’m thirty years old
Tomorrow_

I’m thirty years old
Tomorrow
And I haven’t work since I played Annie
When I was ten.
But maybe there’s hope
Tomorrow
Maybe Martin Charnin will bring Annie back again.

I don’t think so.
