I’ll be damned if I’m going to use Uber. I can’t summon them on my Smartphone. My Mom and I did get an Uber ride to a restaurant for Christmas dinner, but I couldn’t raise them to get a lift back home. Another customer–who turned out to be a neighbor of ours–saw my desperate struggle and offered to give us a ride home himself. I haven’t contacted Uber since. (This was weeks before I bought the car I have now.) ---

Call the lawyer, tell his secretary you won’t go without the ride, they’ll arrange everything for you. ---

I can only imagine the pickle you would be in if you couldn’t figure out how to remove the gas cap. Or do you simply know where all the full service stations are at? ---

Don’t assume that a German air conditioner that hasn’t been serviced for 22 years is going to work. The Germans do a lot of good stuff to cars, but air conditioning isn’t one of them. Maybe he has pressed that button and nothing happened, so he assumed it wasn’t the right button. ---
