I was talking about OPs in specific topics. If I brought something up in GD then someone wanted to bring it up verbatim in The Pit then I can see where it’s warranted. The thing is people are using complete quotes to matters with regards to the OP that is wasted bandwidth. Anyone can simply state “regarding the OP”. This doesn’t mean you can’t quote small posts, it’s a matter of people using their noggin. If that’s too much to ask then I request of Cecil, the Admins and Mods to please take me to the firing range and shoot me now. We people aren’t that stupid that we can’t figure out what people are talking about if they say “OP”. Sheesh! ---

Look around **Great Debates** or **General Questions** , and you will see that many of the **serious** posts are often very long, and address many lengthy points. Asking people to keep flipping back and forth between windows, copying and pasting text to make a cohesive response to a 12-part argument on energy policy, is simply not practical. It invites errors, misquotes, and does not fight ignorance. And would in fact reduce the cohesiveness of the posts in question. ---

Una, This is my only response. I stated my feelings, you don’t like it get over it. I was stating an irritant to me, not how people affect my life. I would say more but I don’t think that it’s warranted at this time. I do have some restraint even if difficult at times to hold back. Now (as I see from the reponse I had not seen till I clicked reply) Hama has responded again… Hama, you are just angry because I responded to something you posted. I am perfectly content in myself at this time, I may not be a day or a week or a month from now but I am not getting overly upset. I stated my bitch I complained, goody. Get your panties in a wad over it, not my problem. I simply don’t like people using the complete quote in a reply. Tar me for God’s sakes, some of you are acting as though I have committed the worst sins against mankind. Fine with you. I am giggling because this has become a farce, it’s ludicrious. You are getting on my ass for silly reasons. Reasons you feel are silly to begin with. You need to get over with it. Is my bitch warranted, yes and no. Should you all get pissy over it, probably not because in the great scheme of things it does not affect your life nor does it stop your life. My bitch about it still stands though. ---

I know that I have ocassionally quoted an entire post, though, and it irks me that this is something I am supposed to watch out for. I quote an entire post if I need to reply to the WHOLE THING, rather than one or two small parts. It makes it easier for me to keep track. I took issue with the way that the OP was presented. I stated my opinion. In a Pit thread. In a Pit manner. I got my butt chewed off. At least I’m trying to stay on-topic. With this post. I have many failings. ---
