I guess it’s my turn to take one for the team and take a few minutes to start the obligatory Pit thread about our latest little bigot who’s trying SO hard to get some attention and make some people angry. It’s kind of heartening to see him being so roundly ignored. Even I can barely be bothered to write this, just because he’s so sad. Still, here’s why: [Fat chicks are more fun in bed](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=680919) [Women live longer than men, and that should make us outraged](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=682652) [Jews marrying Asians is apparently something we should care about](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=684869) [Men are just clearly better than women at science, so why are we pretending the little dears are capable of contributing?](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=684895) [Hey! Has anyone else noticed that it’s black men what are doing all the crimes?](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=685031) [I’m not really sure what this one is, but it seems to be vaguely anti-British](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=685221) [Damn Jews, always taking our best groceries and leaving messes behind](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=685299) And most recently, [What are the gays so darned upset about??](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=685550) In many cases, his posts aren’t necessarily virulently racist, but there’s usually an eyebrow-raising comment or two - a mention of race where it’s completely irrelevant, or an out-of-the-blue stereotype thrown in. As should be evident by the apathetic nature of this OP, I have failed to build up the desired level of outrage, but I at least don’t want him to think that this crap has gone unnoticed. James, if you want to rile people up, you’re going to have to try WAY harder than this. We’ve had REAL racists around here - people who could curl your hair with one well-placed racial epithet with one hand tied behind their backs. If you’re just genuinely wanting to express your bigoted ideas, go do it somewhere else. Off to find something of actual interest to read now. ---

I just discovered this place called ‘The Pit.’ I thought I raised some worthy issues, an example being the disproportionate crime rate of African-Americans (a statistic backed up by official government record keeping.) Why is pointing that out, unacceptable? ---
