You know what, I am quite willing to help out a few layabouts if it stems the tide of bankruptcies caused by medical bills.
Just trotting out the cute dogs and babies. I take this to mean that it is okay with you for not hard working (but still employed) people to go bankrupt? Is this a new performance appraisal game. Rank 1: Top insurance. Rank 2: 80% and catastrophic coverage. Rank 3: No insurance for you!

Our health care system has all kinds of bad effects on out lives. We have just gotten used to it. But, suppose you wanted to change jobs and did not have too worry about a lapse in coverage. Waiting 90 days before getting coverage is scary. You don’t want o get sick or get in an accident during that period.
Suppose you did not have to worry about getting procedures denied? What if you did not have to face bankruptcy if you or a family member got severely sick? How would you like to learn personally what pre-existing condition means, the hard way ?
How would it feel not to have coverage trimmed yearly, premiums going up yearly and watching copays climb endlessly ?
Wouldn’t it be nice if our corporations did not have to fold the price of health care into their products? That would make us more competitive , wouldn’t it?
Our system serves insurance companies instead of the people and the country.
