I was going to ask in GQ about whether a certain method of smuggling contraband on a plane would work, but then I realized the potential inappropriateness of this. What is the board’s policy on discussions of this type? ---

You could e-mail one of the mods and ask if it’s okay. Explain why you think it would be valid to start a thread about it, and then of course await your doom\*. - In the Old English sense of the word, of course. ---

What I’d wanted to ask was, if a certain method was used by terrorists to smuggle explosives aboard a plane, how could said method be countered by airport security, and by how much more inconvenience to passengers then they already put up with? Obviously I’d have to spell out the method to address my questions. ---

We tend to err on the side of caution so I don’t think you’re going to get very far.
