No running water tomorrow; have I forgotten anything?

Well, I left here around noon with EtherealFreakOfPinkness, to get her registered for college. When we left, we had running water. We got back about a half hour ago, no water.

So I’m glad I got the laundry and dishes done when I did.

Just a round disk of rubber. We have one we bought at the dollar store, and it has fit every tub and sink we’ve ever had to fill! It just sits over the drain hole and creates a seal. Simple and efficient.

Ours says 2.5 or something on it. It is designed to fit a tub drain…an old clawfoot tub, specifically. It actually fits into the hole with a slight bit of force.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a tub drain which would accomodate a plug, assuming you mean the old-fashioned rubber stopper-type plug. Drains with visible lever-activated stops, of course, don’t; every tub with the invisible somewhere-in-the-wall type have had a strainer over the drain.

Yes, I mean the old-fashioned rubber plug. I’ve never had anything else in any bathroom or laundry. It may be low tech but it works fine.

Personally I’d choose to spend as much of the day elsewhere as I can, to minimise the need for water use. See a movie or go shopping or something.

But then, I have those options available.
