However, there ought to be limits to our depravity. It’s a tragedy to have children killed, period. I take it as assumed that our troops did not intend to kill an 8 year old child, but that still doesn’t make it alright. Let’s remember that the US Constitution specifically prohibits cooruotion of blood, in which the barbaric idea that relatives of a criminal ought to be punished for someone else’s wrongdoing. Just because a child is related to a shitbag like Awlaki doesn’t mean anything, but then again, I don’t suppose there’s many Trump supporters who care much about the Constitution except when it comes to the Second Amendment and the mindless talking point that liberals don’t follow it. Your average Truml supporter wouldn’t know any Article from a hole in the ground. ---

God fucking damn it! Why the fuck are you supposed Trump haters fumbling around, looking for excuses to defend Trump’s actions? The attack was a botched job. We know that Obama said there wasn’t enough intel, and that Trump approved this. That means he chose. We know that Trump refuses to listen to any advisers, so trying to blame it on them is goddamned fucking stupid. We’re trying to make a case to get Trump impeached. We don’t need you creating the propaganda for them! Acknowledge evil and fuckups when they happen. If not, you’re no better than the Trumpheads. ---

I gather from hints and rumor that his nickname “Mad Dog” is ironic and affectionate, and that he is known to be sparing and cautious when it comes to putting his men in harm’s way. He apparently has Trump’s respect and approval, since he directly confronted Il Douche’s stand on torture, and got away with it. Either that, or Trump simply won’t acknowledge a mistake. I’m not a “Trump hater”, so maybe you don’t mean me with this. I want Trump to do a good job for America. Impeachment is a huge pain and would only put Pence on top anyway. Maybe it is a screwup, I am not really sure. I do believe that there will be a body count in every administration. If the plan is to condemn Trump as incompetent or even deserving of punishment, I just don’t think this by itself is enough. Commandos chasing after terrorists isn’t much different than drones bombing terrorists. Civilians get killed in both. Drones are safer for our troops, but SEALs can do things drones cannot. The president gets to decide. If it is going to be four years of commandos shooting 8 year olds, then yeah, American military policy is turning into something much worse than it was. But so far, I don’t think this is more than a bad day in the war on terror. I don’t mean to sound callous. It is tragic that our boys got hurt and that people died. But we have been at war with “terrorists” for some time now- it didn’t stop under Nobel Peace Prize winner Obama, and it sure isn’t going to stop under Trump, who ran on expanding it. I disagree and I don’t like it, but this incident just doesn’t seem like the outrageous outlier that proves Trump is so bad he needs to be impeached. Something worse would have to happen, or at least a series of clear and avoidable fuckups. ---
