OTOH, dictatorships are usually known for tight security. The PRC government sure isn’t going to be very hung up on providing due process to anyone that’s perceived as any threat to the games… or to anyone who even thinks of denouncing how they treat those perceived threats.
Well, if I were a terrorist the last place I would strike is where they are expecting me. The whole point to terrorism is not to take on the secuirty/army dead on but to attack from the unprotected flanks. I’d blow up a shopping mall, the “guards” in my area are, shall we say, less than well trained.
