Thanks for the irk commiserations. I’ve had annoying co-irkers before (who hasn’t?), but in a such a little place you’re literally 2-3 meters away from each other for the whole shift. You can’t get away at all. The contrast with the previous chef, who was the easiest person to irk with that I’ve ever irked with, no question, doesn’t help. Which isn’t the new guy’s fault, I know. ---

I got a little giggle from my spammed-out email this morning. Before I clear the stuff that the spam filter dumped in its special folder, I scan thru the senders and topics to be sure some real email didn’t slip in (as has happened before.) At the top of the list was an email from “Esmeralda” with the subject line “A PERSONAL Message for Friend” - yeah, that’s personal… 😛 I get fewer these days from Nigerian royalty and more from Psychics who obviously don’t pick up my disbelieving vibes regarding their chosen occupation. Rough night last night. Twice, \*\*FCD \*\*yanked the sheet in such a way as to uncover me. With the a/c and the ceiling fan, I needed the covers, so I was not amused. Then around 1, he woke and went to the basement to retrieve a part he’d been printing, and it took me about half an hour to fall back to sleep after that. When I woke at 6, I knew that was it, so here I am, exhausted. Early bedtime today for sure. Today’s only real plan is to wash a load of unders. And we’ll probably go out for breakfast. Otherwise, slothage shall ensue. Happy Sunday! ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 86 and mostly cloudy with a chance of rain this afternoon. Accordin’ to TWPTB rain is in the forecast for most of the next two weeks. We shall see. Today’s plans are to deheathenate (I have ush duty), have N.O.L. somewhere, and sloth. I also get spam for checking out my matches at eHarmony. Except I already have a match of nearly 34 years, I’ve never even been to the eHarmony website, let alone made a profile, and if I did want to look for a match, I’d do it the tried-and-true way by hanging out in bars. Sheesh, kids these days!!! 😛 The load of unders is in the dryer. Once everything is dry, folded, and put away, I shall assume crochet/knit position in front of Netflix. ---

Happy Sunday! It’s a N.O.S. 84 degrees outside. I don’t know how it feels since we closed the windows and put the AC on last night. One thing about not having a dog anymore is that I don’t have a reason to open the door. Except the cat wants out everyday, but that is his problem not mine. He got out the other day and had a bit of an experience. Normally if he darts out he sticks close to the house but he got brave that day. I couldn’t find him anywhere and he didn’t answer my call. Finally I saw him in the middle of the yard, looked like he caught something and was playing with it. Then he disappeared again, until I saw him at the end of the yard. He was just staring at something and was ignoring my call, so I walked out to get him. I got so close and he tore off for the house. Then I saw the grey stray in the yard, and when it saw me it ran off up the alley. Adam wouldn’t let me near him and acted like he was afraid of me. Until he got in the house, then he got all normal and friendly again. I have lots to do as always. ---

Hello all. Happy Sunday. The cat just had her tail slammed in the front door but she is ok. Mad but OK. I have been a bit sluggish today and have been watching movies but i must get up now and do chores so I can get ready to go back to irk in the morning. We are going to cook spaghetti since it is easy and quick. I need to bathe the dog and get some laundry going. Never ending around here. ---

I finished the laundry and watched a documentary on MI6, then rewatched an episode of Sherlock. I also finished one hat and nearly finished another. I’ve got some little red N.O.T.s-n-onions in the toaster oven. I loaded the dishwasher and ran a rinse cycle. In a bit, I’ll saute up some green beans, then broil some salmon. Supper! 😃 It’s been a good, lazy day! ---

**Midget,** you take care. Since I have to clear space by the windows when I get my new ones, I finally (after literally years of procrastination) cleaned out the corner of my bedroom where I had been putting all my ‘stuff’ from various trips (both official and non-official) for the past, say, 20 years. They are now in containers where I can safely ignore them for the next two decades. Cleaning up the library will be Moanday’s chore. Interesting dinner. Went to Longhorn Steakhouse and had the sirloin medium-well, as is usual. Came out medium at best, so I politely asked them to have the cook put it back on the broiler for another 3 minutes. Took them 10 minutes and they brought the steak out without my french fries. Fries finally showed up just as I was finishing the steak. Now understand, I wasn’t upset at all, the food was good and all the staff I interacted with did their best and were professional, I just happened to be the “Murphy” guest that day. Never raised my voice or called down the wrath of whomever upon them. And they comped my meal. Surprised, I was, but if they want to get a loyal customer, well, that’s one way to do it. Digesting happily now. ---
