No, you may not name your baby 'Messiah'

Some countries do give judges the authorities to reject baby names. The U.S. is not one of them.

I realize that. In this case Jerusalem was rejected because it wasnt on the list of approved names. Still, nit a really odd name.

I hope this digression goes on forever. And ever.

Amen.

Conceived in, named after.
I went to school with her sister; Under the Boardwalk. :dubious:

The stupid ruling has been overturned.
Also, the judge may be sanctioned.

Good, I hope she is. What an idiot.
Anyway it will make an interesting story for the baby to tell when he gets older.

A judge with such an obvious and unconstitutional bias needs to be removed from the bench.

Band name.

Messiahs Die Young.

Somehow I didn’t understand the nature of this hearing the first time around. The judge was asked to make a ruling on the baby’s last name and decided to order his first name changed as well. So she made an order that had nothing to do with the issue before her. Somehow that makes this extra stupid.

And she picked a new name for the baby herself, didn’t even tell the parents that *they *would have to come up with something else. I wonder what other ridiculous, overreaching calls she’s made as a judge. I’m sure there are plenty.

Probably a bunch. Having read the story I see she was asked to decide if the baby’s last name would be Martin or McCullough. She chose McCullough and then made the first name Martin because YOLO. Or Jesus, I guess.

Hey, since you’re here, why not edit the title?
