Is there a term that encompasses both “sword and sandal” and “sword and sorcery”? I’m tired of typing out both terms when I am writing about stuff they have in common, which is a helluva lot. Lay it out if you know it. But don’t say “fantasy,” fantasy encompasses a lot that neither subgenre does.

Would “heroic fantasy” do?
