No, it just would have spawned a parade of posts about what kind of a second rate, bottom bin host site can’t handle posts in a different language, and why don’t we just get a new host site, or get a second host site for the foreign language version and link them, blah blah blah.

The OP has an interesting idea. But say you want a Spanish speaking forum devoted to fighting ignorance. Why not make it a Spanish speaking _board_ devoted to fighting ignorance, with multiple forums? vBulletin installs aren’t that expensive.

Similarly why have it run by the Tribune? Or by Ed? Sure setting up a new board would take some work, but the OP proposes something that’s a lot more difficult than, say, adding an elections forum.
