# Non-English speaking communities in the USA

I really like Trappey’s cajun pepper sauce—it is milder than Tabasco and has more depth of flavor, not just naked heat.

Since it’s not sold anywhere around here, I try and pick up a few bottles whenever I am in New Orleans.

An interesting group that has maintained its language is Portuguese immigrants in Massachusetts. I think that some of the smaller towns have more of this than Boston. I’m curious about this, but I can’t tell you much other than that I was curious about what language I was hearing and was told that it was Portuguese Portuguese–very different sounding from Brazilian Portuguese–and that the community was old and very cohesive.
