# Non English-Speaking Dopers: Does Your Language Have An Equivalent To "Cooties"?

I’m only vaguely familiar with the term “cooties” and always assumed it meant head lice.

In danish theres ‘tøselus’, ie girl-lice, except tøs is more like ‘chick’ or ‘lass’.
