Just last week the bartender said someone had hit her car and dented the corner panel. She said this maybe half a dozen times clearly. Also, I once worked with a guy who said wheel barrel. Clearly he had never seen the word wheelbarrow in writing. ---

My wife was a high school English teacher. One day the homework assignment was to write an essay describing the student’s room. Several kids mentioned the chester draws. The next day she walked into the classroom and wrote chest of drawers on the blackboard. There was a chorus of “Oh.” ---
